Today, Astrobotic’s Xodiac rocket conducted its 176th flight at its test site in Mojave, California. While the vehicle remained within its planned flight envelope, it detected an anomalous condition and commanded a flight termination. This resulted in a rapid descent and caused a loss of the vehicle upon impact with its launch pad. No injuries have been reported, and there is no significant damage to the test site’s infrastructure. The Astrobotic team’s response effort and investigation are underway.
